Jeff Potrykus from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel joined the
show on Tuesday to talk Badger Men’s Basketball.
Potrykus previewed the game Wednesday night and talked about
Northwestern. “They took the court the
other night against Ohio St with seven scholarship players because they have
just been crushed by injuries. They are
a train wreck. They started three freshmen
against Illinois.”
So what could hurt the Badgers? “If Wisconsin’s guards can’t handle the
defense the (Northwestern) guards are going to throw at them, specifically the
1-3-1, and if Northwestern hits some three-point shots. I would expect Wisconsin to win comfortably.”
Can the Badgers win the Big Ten title? Potrykus said that the Badgers would have to
run the table, and he doesn’t see the Badgers winning at Michigan State. “I think Michigan State is the better team
than they are this year.”
If the Badgers were to go 4-1 down the stretch this season,
Wisconsin would finish 13-5. Although Potrykus
thinks Bo would deserve to be the Big Ten Coach of the Year, he didn’t think he
would receive the honor. “I would say no if Izzo wins the Title at
Michigan State. “
