Jesse Temple of Fox Sports Wisconsin joined us Monday and had some great things to say about Badger basketball woes, their season's future, and head football coach Gary Andersen.

When asked about the Badgers' offensive woes, Temple said "if you're a Wisconsin fan, you have to hope there's a light at the end of the tunnel because frankly, it can't get much worse." He added that he personally believes "things will pick up." So what are the Badgers' best options? Temple noted 3 "pretty consistent" players who are averaging in double figures for scoring: center Jared Berggren, forward Ryan Evans, and Ben Brust. Of Brust, Temple said "when he's hot, he can hit it from the next county." He called Berggren "solid around the rim" and "unique for a big man" while adding that Evans is "a hard worker" but that with Evans, "you never really know what you're going to get."

Although their offense has been subpar, Temple is not surprised by the Badgers' ranking of 8th in scoring defense. He called this "a staple of Bo Ryan's teams" and is unsure where the team would be without their defense's strong performance this season.

On new head football coach Gary Andersen, Temple said "he clearly seems like the right man for the job" and appreciates that Andersen has been "willing to embrace everything that Wisconsin football already is."
